The Boys' Brigade Story

On 4th October 2008 The Boys' Brigade celebrated its 125th Anniversary since the founding of the very first Company in Glasgow. Today they are working with over 60,000 children & young people in over 1500 companies (groups) in the UK & Republic of Ireland every week.

The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old.

The 30th Northampton Company approached The Wilson Foundation for help towards funding a company mini bus to which the foundation donated £1000. This added to the amount the boys had already raised through various fund raising events.

“We are very appreciative of the Wilson Foundation’s support for this project, which will enable our young members to enjoy outings, educational trips, exploration days and hikes etc. We plan to provide a more enjoyable and challenging programme for our members.” Trevor Wood, Company Captain
