Michelle Myer's Story

Michelle is a mother of two young girls aged 2 and 3 years. She wanted to start a business where she could both employ her skills and look after the girls. Unfortunately, despite the fact that she had a solid business idea the banks were unhelpful and wouldn’t lend her the money she needed to start her own business. That’s when Michelle approach the Princes Trust for some assistance to which the Wilson Foundation regulary donates to. She started the Little Green House in May 2008.

The Little Green House is mobile and work with children locally in the community. They also run a contract for Northants County Council for Eco Kids activities and work in local Sure Start centres. As well as seasonal workshops in cookery and gardening they also offer creative children’s parties such as ‘Fun with Food’ and ‘Fear Factor’.

Michelle is in the process of franchising the business which is going very well.
