The Wilson Foundation is a UK registered charity established to 'give a helping hand' to young people in Northamptonshire - broadly aged between the ages of 10 and 21.
In memory of the late Connolly Thomas Wilson OBE, a Northamptonshire man who created a highly successful building company, the charity was formed in 1970. Since then his successors have remained loyal benefactors, contributing substantial funds.
As the charity has evolved, contributions now support a diverse range of community projects in Northamptonshire. This has included regular donations to the Macmillan Nurses, the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Air Ambulance and the funding of a sculpture to commemorate the life of one of the greatest Northamptonians of all times.
However, the primary purpose of The Wilson Foundation still remains - to award scholarships in the form of financial grants to young people who need a ‘helping hand’ and who do not believe in a something for nothing culture.
